Advances in Microwave Oven Design

I’ve got to get this one out of my head. It pops up whenever I use our microwave oven.

Our microwave oven says beep-beep-beep when the time is up. But it doesn’t switch off. It keeps rotating the food on its tray, and it sounds as if it is heating it. Perhaps it is keeping it warm for me. I wouldn’t know, because it keeps nagging me every 30 seconds; beep-beep-beepbeep-beep-beep … until I open the door or hit Stop.

I don’t know why this is a good thing. “Hey! Don’t forget your food, or it’ll get cold! You wouldn’t want cold food, would you?”

My first one just chimed and stopped. That’s a feature! No nagging.

There.
