Summary of October, 2003

In October, 2003, I focused mainly on semiotics (and writing summaries).

At the beginning of the month, I was reading Juri Lotman’s Semiotics of Cinema (the Swedish translation), which probably isn’t the best book to read to learn what semiotics is, but it worked quite well for me. (I posted lots of quotes from it to my Swedish weblog.)

I launched my summaries page, and therefore this month’s list of posts is dominated by the ten summaries I wrote.

Then I began reading Umberto Eco’s Travels in Hyperreality—or, rather, a Swedish essay collection which closely matches it, and from which I posted some quotes to my Swedish weblog.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on November 25, 2003. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
