Tesugen

Ever since I bought my digital camera, I’ve used to regularly show pictures to Elvira, my daughter; pictures taken the previous day, or earlier the same day.

It feels natural to ask her about things that have happened recently, and showing pictures from those events is an extension to this. I don’t know what effect it has on her, but I think it’s stimulating to reflect on recent events. And I know other parents that do this as well.

Soon, it became evident that she did realize that the pictures were from things she had done in the recent past. When shown pictures from a place she had been, she would often say who was also there—such as her grandmother or grandfather.

Got to go.
