Tesugen

I haven’t had time to read this yet, but I wanted to post the link. Sergi Valverde wrote to me regarding my thoughts back in January about whether or not software designs are scale-free (fueled by reading Linked). Sergi’s a researcher in the field of complex networks, and along with Ramon Ferrer-Cancho and Ricard V. Solé, he published evidence that software designs indeed are scale-free: Scale-Free Networks from Optimal Design (PDF). My friend Olof read it and he says the paper shows that Java JDK 1.2 is scale-free.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on July 12, 2003. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
