April, 2003
Back in April this year, I was reading The Death and Life of Great American Cities, by Jane Jacobs (see this, this, this, and this), and thinking about complexity science (see this, this, and this), urban planning (see this, this, this, this, and this), software development (see this, this, this, this, this, this, and this) and architecture (see this, this, and this) – and I began to think about scientific discovery (see this, and this).
(I’m thinking about creating a guide of some sort to the posts in this weblog. I can’t think of categories in advance, and I fear that categorizing at the time of writing would be too constraining. It’s nice to look back to see what I found interesting at particular times in the past, so while doing that I can just as well create small overviews of each month like this one. Instead of all the “see this, this, and this” parentheses, the topics (complexity science, software development, etc.) would be links to lists of links to posts, preferrably with excerpts.)
