I downloaded the new iTunes last night. For a while, I have enjoyed Clutter by Sprote Rsrch, which is a small app that shows the album cover for the track that you are currently playing in iTunes. It downloads them automatically from Amazon.com.
The new iTunes displays the artwork, but it doesn’t find it for you. So I opened the AppleScript terminology for iTunes, and the artwork object sure is there, but I couldn’t find a way to query or set the artwork of the track being played, so it doesn’t seem that you can write a small script that finds artwork for tracks that lacks them. Strange.
