Paul Ford: Getting Close to the Machine

When she says of code, “it is rarely illuminating to read; it’s not designed primarily for the human reader,” she is talking about writing code for the transactional exchange of structured data over sockets, for instance – infrastructure, but I think there is coding that rubs up against the edges of what we call “media,” and that requires closer consideration.” (Thanks, Hylton!)
