Post-christmas notes

It’s good to take a break once in a while. I received a whole bunch of books as Christmas presents this year, and I have read two – Bruce Chatwin’s What Am I Doing Here and a book called Papalagi which is a translation by Erich Scheurmann of a Samoan chieftain’s notes after having visited Europe in the 1920s – and I’m currently reading an issue of a Swedish “book magazine” called .doc, on the topic of writing.

I have begun making notes while reading, at any time when thoughts come to me, and I really like it. No matter what I am reading (these books are all quite different), the notes seems to link them to my current interests – creativity, team culture, systems thinking, and software architecture. Long walks every once in a while allows me to dwell on these thoughts. ––– This turned out a shorter post than I had intended, but I’ll get back to this.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on December 29, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
