Terrible twos (cont’d)
(I realized I forgot something as I iChatted with my friend and colleague Svante.) In child rearing, it’s said to be important that you are consistent towards the child (some say it’s not important, though). In Influence an explanation is given to this (in the light of the scarcity principle): it’s important to be consistent with the freedoms you give (or don’t give) your child. The child who is deprived of a freedom it had suffers more than the child who never had that freedom in the first place.
