Intacto

I saw Intacto by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and I thought it was excellent. I wonder when the American remake comes. As I said in my last post from the Stockholm Film Festival (see here), I find it hard to review fiction, and for this movie it’s particularly true. It’s hard to say anything about the plot without ruining it. What I can say, though, is that the filmmakers manage to maintain the suspense throughout the two hours the movie lasts, by continually throwing in new mysteries, which they give clues to every now and then.

Movies that never lose its pace at any time are extremely rare, but this one keeps you in its grip. For balance, I would like to mention that my friend Olof thought it got a little slow in the middle, but that it caught up towards the end. Anyway, this one was even better than the first film I saw at the festival. How lucky isn’t that?

Go and see Intacto!
