Some changes to the site

I made some changes. First, I added two “sub-weblogs” – one where I will post links and one where I will post pointers to books. The motivation for the former is that I often want to blog about links before I have read them. In my main weblog, I want to post commentary on articles and papers, not just links to them. This is a place where I can just point to interesting stuff without reviewing them.

The books sub-blog is a place to post links to books as I find ones I want to read, or when people send pointers to suggested reading on topics that I have blogged about. I love getting these recommendations. Unfortunately, the “want to read” section on my main page isn’t ideal to list them. It would grow too long. Also, I find the task of updating that list too cumbersome. Posting a blog entry is quicker.

Then I created an archives page, since I now have archives for three weblogs and keeping it in the navbar wasn’t feasible. I also created a syndication page for the three RSS feeds available. It feels better now.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on September 4, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
