A more humble Lessig keynote

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a weblog entry titled Lessig stirs up emotions re: his keynote at O’Reilly’s Open Source Convention (see follow-ups here – and here). Some people were very upset about Lessig’s asking them fiercly: What have you done about it? What have you done about it?

Today, I finally read a weblog post that I have had on my desktop since then, and it was brilliant. Titled, Waiting for the Laugh: Lessig at OSCON, Alex Golub suggests a more humble approach. I think that Lessig might have gotten his message across to more people this way. Do read it, it is both interesting and very entertaining.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on September 3, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
