VerisignOff

VerisignOff.org :: Take back your name from VerisignYesterday, Malte tried to guide me through making some changes to my boho.org domain (Malte has a scheme where all domains have as DNS servers [ab].ns.domain.com, which boho.org doesn’t follow.) and it made me very frustrated. Their site and the e-mails they send you are totally unhelpful.

I’m not very updated about Verisign, but I know about the VerisignOff initiative. Also, today, I read a post by Mark Pilgrim about this, in which he linked to an Open Directory category named ‘Allegedly Unethical Firms / Verisign’ which contains links about Verisign. And yesterday’s struggles made me want to never have to do with Verisign again. This domain is registered with Godaddy, which charges way less per year and is much easier to use.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on August 2, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
