Doing some kitchen stuff it came to me: the reason you would sell something that’s actually a “self-help technique” by writing a novel about a murderer and rapist, is to target a part of the market that “self-help books” can’t. Some people just wouldn’t want to be caught dead reading Deepak Chopra, but Luke Rhinehart is the rock-n-roll Deepak.
