Aaron writes, commenting on a post by Mark Bernstein, that in “long-running email conversations … [the individual messages] were simply notices to update shared state. ... Even though emails often had many threads going along in the same message, my mind compressed these into one coversation.” This is something that he expects in “blog conversations”, too.

This is related to my thoughts about posting early and often – see hereherehere – and here. But I think it’s important to regard yourself as one of your conversation partners, too. That is, by posting early and often, you allow your discussion with yourself to emerge over time. I think it’s important to let the ideas out of your head – even if they’re half baked.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on June 24, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
