Tesugen

Steven Johnson (cont’d)

I must get back to his article. Johnson writes that blogs “are organized around time”, referring to the fact that entries usually revolve around current events – something “blogs share with journalism”. If, he continues, “bloggers should follow us around, providing context and commentary, supplementing our libraries and our memory”, as opposed to just linking to today’s news, this would would transcend conventional journalism, allowing smart search engines and tools could be built around the blogspace.

When I tossed out a half-baked thought about a month ago, I was thinking along these lines, so this article really appealed to me.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on May 11, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
