Permanently indexed at Google
Ok, now I’ve been added to the “permanent” index at Google. Unfortunately, I can’t tell exactly what caused this. It can either be that the URL I submitted about a month ago has been picked from the queue. Or, it can be that Google has loaded the latest database from Open Directory Project, where I was added on April 3rd.
Another reason can be that the number of referrers of Tesugen.com got so many that the threshold was exceeded and my page was considered as interesting for the permanent index. Who knows? I submitted a question about this to Aaron Swartz at his Google Weblog and I hope he will find the answer.
Anyway, during the latest crawl, there were 24 referrers to Tesugen.com – to be contrasted with 5 for the previous crawl. If there is a threshold for nominating a site for inclusion in the main index, it feels to me that 24 would be big enough to exceed it.
I will continue this study by following kerusan.org, which currently have 4 referrers and is still in the temporary index. Stay tuned.
