The Haunted Non-Finisher

When I get an idea for a project of some kind – like an idea for an app or an article or book – I tend to get haunted by that idea. It’s hard for me to think about anything but pursuing that idea.

At the same time, I seldom finish the projects I spawn. Instead, I usually stay haunted until the point that I have reached a satisfying solution in my head. Earlier, I was frustrated by all my unfinished projects, but nowadays I don’t care that much.

The other day I thought about putting out for download the notes, source code and any other remains from my unfinished projects, in the hope that someone will find it useful. I’ll think about that.

The above was posted to my personal weblog on April 26, 2002. My name is Peter Lindberg and I am a thirtysomething software developer and dad living in Stockholm, Sweden. Here, you’ll find posts in English and Swedish about whatever happens to interest me for the moment.
